Job summary

Linde Gas Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for planning and executing maintenance on rotating equipment in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical operations. You will lead troubleshooting, coordinate shutdowns, and support condition monitoring programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.
• Diploma holder with 10+ years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry.
• Experience in leading overhaul of major rotating equipment including steam turbines, compressors and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor contractor routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
• Lead troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues and provide guidance to Operations.
• Plan and coordinate shutdown maintenance activities based on PM requirements, vendor recommendations and best practices.
• Support condition monitoring programs (vibration monitoring, oil analysis etc.).
• Review risk assessments and maintenance procedures regularly.
• Maintain records for equipment repairs, overhauls and modifications.
• Identify discrepancies in plant equipment records or on field.
• Participate in root cause analysis on process incidents and equipment failures, implement corrective actions.
• Initiate Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) and execute plant improvement changes.
• Engage in external/internal audits and close actions within deadlines.

About the role

Planning and execution of rotating equipment Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor contractor routine and non-routine maintenance activities

• Lead troubleshooting of rotating equipment issues and provide guidance to Operations

• Plan and coordinate shutdown maintenance activities of rotating equipment based on local and Global PM requirements, vendor recommendation and industrial best practices

• Support condition monitoring programs (vibration monitoring, oil analysis etc.)

• Review risk assessment and maintenance procedures on regular basis

• Maintain records for equipment repairs, overhauls and modifications

• Identify and update discrepancies in plant equipment records or on field

• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) on process incidents and process inducted rotating equipment failures, recommend corrective actions and follow up on closure

• Initiate Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) and execute changes for plant improvement and modification works

• Face External / Internal Audit and close actions within given time limit

About you

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 7 years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry, or Diploma holder with 10 years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry

• Experience in a Gas Plant such as Gasification/SMR/ASU is an advantage

• Experience in leading overhaul of major rotating equipment including steam turbine, compressors and pumps

• Good knowledge on design and maintenance of all type of rotating equipment such as steam turbine, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, screw compressors, expanders, multistage pumps etc.

• Good knowledge on oil analysis and vibration monitoring systems such as Bently Nevada System 1 or equivalent

• Good knowledge of industrial standards such as API, ASME etc for rotating equipment and associated auxiliary static equipment
