Job summary

K2 STRATEGIC is hiring a Graduate Engineer/Mechanical Engineer to support the APAC design team in Singapore. You will assist PMs and site delivery managers on data centre design and construction phases, ensuring quality and adherence to K2 standards.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background with data centre exposure, proficiency in MS Office and design software, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or 1 year’ experience in mechanical building services design.
• Data centre projects experience preferred.
• MS Office and design software like Etap, IES, E20 proficiency.
• Strong English communication, written and spoken.
• Active, initiative, sociable, flexible and optimistic.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in data centre design and site management.
• Monitor construction activities for quality control and adherence to standards.
• Review design documents with required engineering calculations.
• Maintain internal engineering standards for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Support commissioning and handover activities for projects.
• Contribute to internal engineering design and development activities.
• Uphold procedures following K2 standards.

Job description

Due to K2 expansion, APAC Technical and Delivery team is looking to hire Graduate Engineer/Mechanical Engineer to support our internal design team management and design review work. The role is based in Sinagpore working closely with SG HQ based Project Management team to handle the daily design related issues for existing and future projects in APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Assistant Project Manager or Site Delivery Manager in data centre design and construction phases for site management and construction quality control.
• Help to monitor construction activities closely on a regular basis and ensure the data centre facility is built to group's standard.
• Help to review design consultant’s work to ensure design documents are sufficiently developed with all necessary engineering calculations in place.
• Help to maintain K2 internal engineering standard with particular focus on HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Help Assistant Project Manager in works related to project commissioning and final handover activities.
• Help Assistant Project Manager in K2 internal engineering design and development activities.
• Help to uphold the engineering and operation procedures following K2 standard.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering OR 1 year of working experience in mechanical building services design and construction project delivery (data centre projects preferred).
• Good knowledge in Electrical HV/LV distribution Engineering with interest in understanding on data centre project and protection study preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) with experience in Electrical or Mechanical calculation software, such as Etap, IES, E20
• Good command of written and spoken English is required.
