• BCSS certification; familiarity with ISO 9000, 14001, and 45001; ISO Internal Auditor is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Site Execution & Technical Coordination: resolve site issues, interpret mechanical designs, coordinate shop drawings, align with main contractors to prevent rework.
• Chiller & Material Control: oversee installation quality for DCP chiller systems, inspect subcontractor workmanship, minimize material wastage.
• Schedule & Operations Support: assist the Project Manager with day-to-day site operations, track progress, prevent delays, attend client/internal meetings.
• Productivity & Defect Prevention: conduct inspections to eliminate non-conformance defects and evaluate installation techniques to improve site efficiency.

The Mechanical Engineer will oversee site execution, technical coordination, and installation quality for an Addition & Alteration (A&A) project at a District Cooling Plant (DCP). This role ensures mechanical systems and chiller installations strictly comply with building Codes of Practice, ISO quality standards, safety protocols, and master project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Execution & Technical Coordination: Resolve site technical issues, interpret mechanical designs/building Codes of Practice, produce and coordinate shop drawings, and align with main contractors to prevent rework.

• Chiller & Material Control: Oversee installation quality for District Cooling Plant (DCP) chiller systems; monitor supplier materials, inspect subcontractor workmanship, and minimize material wastage.

• Schedule & Operations Support: Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day site operations under the master plan, track progress schedules, prevent supplier delivery delays, and attend client/internal meetings.

• Productivity & Defect Prevention: Conduct inspections to eliminate non-conformance defects and evaluate innovative installation techniques to improve site efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience within a contractor environment.

• Technical Expertise: Hands‑on experience with chiller systems and District Cooling Plants (DCP) is strictly required.

• Certifications & Standards: Valid Building Construction Safety Supervisor (BCSS) certification; familiarity with ISO 9000, 14001, and 45001 standards (ISO Internal Auditor certification is an advantage).
