Job summary

Tobero Pte Ltd seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and optimise mechanical systems and components. The role focuses on CAD-driven design, simulations, and collaboration with design, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver robust solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree, strong CAD and FEA skills, and a proactive approach to engineering challenges. The position is full-time and based in the Kaki Bukit East Region, Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and materials science.
• Experience with simulation and finite element analysis (FEA) tools is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical work.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Experience in manufacturing, product development, or project-based engineering environments is advantageous.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification or willingness to pursue it is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Perform calculations and simulations to verify safety and performance.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and project management teams.
• Prepare technical documentation including drawings and specifications.
• Test and troubleshoot mechanical systems and implement solutions.
• Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to cost optimisation and design efficiency initiatives.
• Assist manufacturing and installation teams with technical guidance.
