Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and materials science.
• Experience with simulation and finite element analysis (FEA) tools is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical work.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Experience in manufacturing, product development, or project-based engineering environments is advantageous.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification or willingness to pursue it is preferred.

About the role

Tobero Pte Ltd is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in the Kaki Bukit East Region. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimising mechanical systems and components that drive our projects forward. Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using advanced CAD software and Solidwork industry best practices
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate design concepts and ensure they meet project requirements
• Perform calculations and simulations to verify structural integrity, performance, and safety of mechanical designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and project management to ensure seamless project execution
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to identify issues and implement corrective solutions
• Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards relevant to mechanical engineering
• Participate in cost optimisation initiatives to improve design efficiency and reduce manufacturing expenses
• Support manufacturing and installation teams by providing technical guidance and resolving on-site engineering challenges

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, or equivalent platforms

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in technical work
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment whilst managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
• Experience in manufacturing, product development, or project-based engineering environments would be advantageous
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification or willingness to pursue it is preferred
