Job summary

Taiseng Engineering and Trading in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop 2D/3D mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks in line with engineering standards.

You will prepare mechanical BOMs, technical documentation and cost estimates for machine development projects, perform simulations and data analysis on components, fluids and structures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or SolidWorks for 2D/3D design as per standards.
• Experience preparing mechanical BOMs and technical documentation.
• Ability to develop budget estimates and resource planning for machine development.
• Experience with engineering simulations and data analysis for mechanical components, fluids and structures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
• Strong analytical and technical drawing skills.
• Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or SolidWorks for 2D and 3D mechanical design and drafting in accordance with engineering standards.
• Prepare Mechanical Bills of Materials (BOM), technical documentation and engineering reports.
• Develop budget estimates, costing and resource requirements for machine development projects.
• Prepare statistical reports and undertake other ad-hoc engineering duties as assigned.
• Ability to perform engineering simulations and analyze test data involving mechanical components, fluid flow and structural stress.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical drawing skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to undertake other ad-hoc engineering duties as assigned.
