Job summary

51 EMPLOYMENT AGENCY PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to create 3D CAD models and detailed assemblies for high-precision automation equipment.

You will integrate motors, actuators, and gear drives into complete hardware solutions, and perform simulations for structural, kinematic, and dynamic analyses. Prototyping, testing, and DFMA optimization are required to ensure safety, performance, and cost-effective production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical or automation design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD platforms (SolidWorks, CREO, Siemens NX) and knowledge of simulation/analysis tools (FEA, CFD basics).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, 3D printing).
• Experience in high-precision automation, semiconductor equipment, robotics, or medical devices is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD solid models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks/CREO/AutoCAD.
• Select and integrate motors, actuators, gear drives, pumps, and valves into hardware solutions.
• Perform structural, kinematic, dynamic, and FEA simulations and tolerance analyses.
• Build and test prototypes, validate safety/performance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Apply DFM and DFA to optimize production costs and quality.
• Maintain BOMs, engineering change notices, and technical specs.
