Job summary

Surbana Jurong Group is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee M&E systems within assigned buildings, ensuring reliable operation and statutory compliance. You will lead preventive maintenance, coordinate contractors, and drive continuous improvements in building services.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, project coordination and effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Based in Singapore, this position offers a challenging environment within a global engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in M&E, facilities management or building operations.
• Strong knowledge of building M&E systems and maintenance practices.
• Excellent contractor management and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation and maintenance of ACMV, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and building services.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability.
• Conduct regular inspections of M&E installations for safety and maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with term contractors, service providers and consultants to ensure maintenance works are completed safely, timely and to the required standards.
• Troubleshoot M&E equipment and coordinate rectification works as required.
• Monitor contractors’ performance, work quality and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Ensure all statutory inspections, testing, certification and regulatory requirements are complied with.
• Review maintenance records, service reports and equipment performance, and recommend improvements.

Summary

Responsible for managing and overseeing the mechanical and electrical systems within the assigned building/facility, ensuring reliable operation, preventive maintenance, statutory compliance and effective delivery of M&E services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the operation and maintenance of M&E systems, including ACMV, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and other building services.
• Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure system reliability and minimise breakdowns.
• Conduct regular inspections of M&E installations and identify potential operational, safety and maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with term contractors, service providers and consultants to ensure maintenance works are completed safely, timely and to the required standards.
• Troubleshoot M&E equipment and systems and coordinate rectification works where required.
• Monitor contractors’ performance, work quality and compliance with contractual requirements.
• Ensure all statutory inspections, testing, certification and regulatory requirements are complied with.
• Review maintenance records, service reports and equipment performance, and recommend improvement measures where necessary.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in M&E / Facilities Management / Building Operations, preferably within commercial, industrial or institutional facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building M&E systems and maintenance practices.
• Good troubleshooting, coordination and contractor management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple operational priorities.
• Relevant professional certifications or statutory licences will be an advantage.
