Job summary

Surbana Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Building Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of assigned premises, ensuring safety and efficiency. You will lead site teams, manage facilities, and ensure compliance with M&E systems and statutory requirements.

The role requires a degree in engineering or FM and at least 8 years of FM experience, with 3 years in a leadership capacity, plus strong budgeting, vendor management, and energy management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant FM experience; 3+ years in leadership/managerial role.
• Experience managing multiple sites, vendors, and FM projects.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, statutory compliance, and FM best practices.
• Experience in budget planning, cost control, contract administration, vendor performance.
• Strong leadership, organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contract requirement specifications, service levels and KPIs for performance evaluations.
• Assist in monitoring staff duties and ensuring diligence.
• Prepare, consolidate and check monthly reports, certificates of payment, work orders and checklists.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for technical systems, fire safety, workplace safety and health.
• Provide energy management expertise, conduct energy audits, implement energy efficiency measures.
• Support implementation of Singapore's Green Mark certification by assessing and certifying buildings.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of assigned buildings, ensuring facilities are safe, well-maintained, and operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• support the Building Manager in leading the site team in the management and maintenance of the Premises; supervise the day-to-day general maintenance (i.e. cleanliness, security, pest control, etc.) and technical operations (i.e. sanitary and plumbing systems, mechanical and electrical systems, lift system, etc.)

• Monitor the compliance with contract requirement specifications, service levels and KPIs for performance evaluations;

• assist in the monitoring and ensuring that each staff member discharges their duties diligently

• Prepare, consolidate and check submissions of all required monthly reports, certificates of payment, work orders and checklists to the Authority;

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for technical systems, fire safety, workplace safety and health, etc.

• Provide professional expertise in energy management, conducting energy audits, implementing energy efficiency measures, and assisting the Authority with the reduction of energy and water consumption and costs (where applicable)

• support the implementation of Singapore's Green Mark certification scheme by assessing and certifying buildings for environmental sustainability and energy efficiency standards;

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in facilities management, building operations, or integrated facilities management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Proven experience managing multiple sites, vendors, maintenance operations, and facilities-related projects.

• Strong knowledge of building Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, statutory compliance, and facilities management best practices.

• Demonstrated experience in budget planning, cost control, contract administration, and vendor performance management.

• Strong leadership, organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
