Job summary

PIXEL AUTOMATION PTE. LTD. is seeking a design engineer to deeply understand customer requirements and company standards. You will conceptualize and develop solutions, model machines, and prepare design documents to support manufacturing, cost, quality, and safety goals.

You will lead internal and customer design reviews, revise drawings, create BOMs, and coordinate with purchasing for quotations while ensuring project schedules and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Understand design specifications from customer requirements and company standards.
• Prepare and maintain design specification sheets.
• Perform cycle time studies and develop 3D models for manufacturability, cost, quality, safety.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and participate in internal design reviews with other departments.
• Lead design reviews with customers on project timelines.
• Revise designs and documents after reviews and approvals.
• Create and update flow charts for modules or entire machines.
• Produce part drawings and assembly drawings for approval by the department manager.
• Create BOMs for assigned modules based on the design schedule.
• Release drawings for quotation and send standard part lists for pricing.
• Receive quotations and compare prices using spreadsheets.
• Raise purchase requests and obtain department manager approval before negotiation.
• Support fabrication and assembly with design issue resolution.
• Implement necessary design changes and obtain approvals from managers.
• Release revised drawings to suppliers and the internal assembly team.
• Assist machine assembly teams during setup and fine-tuning as needed.
• Adhere to project schedules and deliverables.
• Maintain quality standards and knowledge of relevant technologies and safety policies.
• Develop and mentor junior engineers; act as a technical liaison to customers.
