Job summary

Pixel Automation Pte Ltd is seeking a design-focused engineer to develop and refine machine concepts. You will translate customer requirements into viable design specifications, build 3D models, and prepare BOMs for quotation and manufacturing.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure design integrity and on-time delivery. You will lead design reviews, optimize manufacturing processes, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with company standards and safety

Responsibilities

Develop a deep understanding of design specifications based on customer requirements, organizational goals and business strategies.
Conceptualize and develop solutions based on project requirements and company standards through simulations/modeling to support design concepts.
Develop design specification sheets and update as required for distribution to relevant parties.
Carry out detailed cycle time studies for modules to select appropriate machine/module design.
Create and update flow charts for modules or entire machines.
Create part drawings and assembly drawings and obtain approval from the department manager.
Create BOMs for assigned modules and prepare drawings for quotation and supplier release.
Send out standard part lists for quotation and perform price comparisons.
Raise purchase requests and obtain department manager approval for negotiation and ordering.
Support the design and fabrication teams during assembly and testing, addressing issues promptly.
Release revised drawings to suppliers and internal teams and ensure alignment with project schedules.
Train and mentor junior engineers, providing technical direction and acting as a liaison between customers and the team.
