Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a Materials Laboratory associate to support experimental research, fabricate materials, and assist in field trials. You will document procedures, manage inventory, procure lab supplies, and ensure maintenance and safety of equipment in a controlled lab setting.

The role emphasizes meticulous documentation, data analysis, and report writing to support technical decisions and project progress in a Singapore-based facility.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Materials Science & Engineering or related field.
• Good understanding of material properties, processing, fabrication, and testing.
• Strong research and experimental capabilities to design and run tests.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills.
• Experience in laboratory operations, including inventory management and procurement.
• Meticulous, organized and able to maintain documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and support experimental research activities.
• Perform materials production, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Assist in field trials, testing, and evaluation activities.
• Document processing procedures, findings, and trial results, incl. technical reports.
• Source and procure materials, equipment, and laboratory consumables.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and stock records.
• Coordinate and monitor periodic maintenance of lab equipment and facilities.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform housekeeping to keep a safe, clean lab environment.
