Job summary

Responsibilities

• Read and understand technical drawings, architectural blueprints, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and smooth lumber, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Build structural frameworks including walls, floor systems, roof framing, and staircases.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, molding, drywall, and hardware.
• Inspect damaged frameworks, replace weakened timber, and restore wooden structures or fixtures.
• Follow local building codes, wear protective gear, and maintain a clean work area.
