Job summary

FRAMEWORK BUILDING SERVICES (PTE. LTD.) in Singapore is seeking a skilled Carpenter to work across diverse settings, taking measurements and reading plans to support proposed works. You will install wooden frames, cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, and fix fixtures.

You will source materials and prepare estimates while coordinating with clients and suppliers on site. Applicants should be adept at selecting lumber, calculating fasteners, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and designs to match specifications.
• Measuring and estimating material needs accurately.

Responsibilities

• Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work.
• Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation
• Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks and hinges
• Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style
• Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals
• Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations
