The role involves installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs, and fitting window frames, doors and trim. You will read blueprints, measure materials, and work with hand and power tools to construct and repair wooden structures. The candidate must have hands-on carpentry experience, read technical drawings, and follow stringent safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as carpenter.
• Hands-on experience with carpentry materials.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Commitment to safety guidelines.
• Good math skills.
• Good physical condition and endurance.

Responsibilities

• Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
• Fit and install window frames, doors, trim, and hardware.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work above ground level.
• Read blueprints and determine dimensions and materials.
• Shape materials with hand tools, machines or power saws.
• Follow safety rules and keep a clean, safe site.
• Build or repair wooden fixtures such as cabinets, doors, or frameworks.
• Assemble materials to form frameworks using screws, nails or glue.
• Move materials around the job site as needed.
• Inspect ceilings, floors, walls for damage and signs of wear.
• Clean up worksite debris and maintain orderly site.
