Job summary

Drew Marine is seeking a Service Engineer I to provide on-site and remote technical assistance for oceangoing vessels, covering water and chemical treatment, energy management, and installation services. You will train crew and help ensure adherence to onboard programs and environmental standards.

The role involves collaborating with chief engineers and international maritime clients, inspecting equipment, and maintaining vessel records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years’ experience, or 5–8 years of related experience in a technical Marine/Chemical role.
• Strong interpersonal skills when working with colleagues and international maritime clients.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current application of Drew Marine programs aboard vessels.
• Evaluate Water Treatment and Energy Management program consistency via on-site analysis.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineers and marine officers on product applications.
• Provide solutions for increased efficacy and identify vessel needs.
• Supervise inspections, chemical cleanings, and installation/repair of equipment.
• Provide training to the crew.
• Maintain vessel information files with service reports and actionable knowledge.
• Visit accounts with Account Executives and Area Manager to understand client needs.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
