Job summary

EA RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. invites applications for a senior Fleet Operations role based in Singapore's West Area.

You will ensure vessels meet all regulations and certifications while leading vetting, audits, and crew onboarding. The position requires strong supervisory experience and solid knowledge of ISM, MARPOL and SOLAS. The role includes identifying training needs, leading competency programs, and supporting safe voyage planning and efficient cargo operations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate of Competency to Class 2 or above (Deck) recognised by MPA Singapore.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet operations, preferably in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Familiarity with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS and other maritime regulations.
• Lead Auditor certification (ISM/ISPS or ISO) is an advantage.
• Experience working with tankers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vessels comply with maritime regulations and certifications.
• Coordinate and monitor vetting inspections, class audits, SIRE, and flag state surveys.
• Approve crew assignments, conduct interviews and oversee onboarding.
• Identify training needs and implement structured development programs.
• Support onboard mentoring and competency management.
• Ensure compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW and other international standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and investigate incidents; follow up on safety audits.
• Monitor navigational safety, pollution prevention and cargo operations.
• Support voyage planning and execution to maximise efficiency and cargo utilization.
• Monitor resource allocation for optimal operational support.
