Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Fleet Operations Manager to ensure vessels meet ISM, MARPOL and SOLAS standards. You will oversee crew onboarding, inspections, audits, and competency development for a tanker fleet.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in fleet operations, a Master Mariner or Chief Engineer credential recognised by MPA Singapore, and familiarity with ISM/ISPS or ISO standards. Tanker experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime studies, Marine engineering, Naval architecture or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in fleet operations, preferably in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Certificate of competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) recognised by MPA Singapore.
• Familiarity with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS and other maritime regulations.
• ISM/ISPS or ISO Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
• Experience working with tankers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring vessels comply with all relevant maritime regulations and certifications.
• Coordinate and monitor vetting inspections, class audits, SIRE, Flag State Inspections and other statutory surveys.
• Approved crew assignments, conduct interviews and oversee onboarding.
• Identify training needs and ensure structured development programmes are in place.
• Support onboard mentoring and competency management initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW and other international standards.
• Conduct safety inspections, manage incident investigations and follow up on safety audits.
• Monitor navigational safety, pollution prevention and cargo operations.
• Support voyage planning and execution to maximise efficiency and cargo utilisation.
• Monitor resource allocation and utilisation for optimal operational support.
