PEOPLE PROFILERS PTE. LTD. is seeking a SERVICE/SALES ENGINEER (MARINE) in Singapore.

The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, engaging shipyards and marine contractors, expanding market presence, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline. You will work with engineering teams to tailor marine engines and propulsion solutions to customer needs. You will also manage key accounts, analyze customer requirements, prepare technical proposals and tenders, and negotiate to close deals.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the marine industry.
Experience in marine engines, propulsion systems, marine equipment, or heavy equipment sales is preferred.
Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret engineering specifications.
Good business development and customer relationship management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the marine industry.
Proactively engage potential customers, shipyards, vessel operators, and marine contractors.
Expand market presence and develop new customer segments and territories.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to achieve business objectives.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing maritime customers.
Understand customer requirements and identify opportunities for business growth.
Work closely with the sales team to develop strategic customer accounts.
Analyse customer requirements, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
Recommend appropriate marine engines, propulsion systems, and power solutions.
Provide technical consultation and commercially viable solutions.
Coordinate with engineering teams on customised technical requirements.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, costings, and tender submissions.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with customer specifications.
Conduct commercial negotiations and follow up on opportunities through to successful closure.
Collaborate with engineering, service, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Monitor market developments, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Undertake regional business travel at least quarterly or as required.
