Direct Search Global is seeking a Project Engineer (Marine Ship Repair) in Singapore to coordinate vessel repair, maintenance, retrofitting and upgrading projects. The role involves liaising with shipowners, shipyards, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective execution.

You will assist the Project Manager with schedules, milestones and progress tracking while maintaining accurate work orders, repair specifications and service reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or related discipline.
• Familiarity with vessel repair, dry-docking, retrofitting and marine maintenance activities.
• Good coordination, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to liaise effectively with shipowners, shipyards, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and project documentation.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and oversee day-to-day project activities for vessel repair, maintenance, retrofitting and upgrading projects.
• Liaise with shipowners, vessel operators, shipyard personnel, subcontractors and internal departments for smooth execution.
• Assist Project Manager in developing schedules, tracking milestones and monitoring progress.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractor arrangements.
• Monitor costs, prepare quotations and track expenses for cost-effective execution.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including work orders, repair specs and progress reports.
• Attend project meetings and site visits to address operational issues and delays.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, shipyard requirements and client specifications.
