Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore is seeking a Project Manager for Ship Repairs (Gul) to lead repair, construction and conversion projects aboard vessels. You will oversee scheduling, safety meetings (VSCC), and coordination with classification societies, ship owners, and crew to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The role requires a naval architecture/ marine engineering background and proven project leadership in marine environments.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Naval Architecture/Marine/Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 1 year of project management experience in ship repairs.
• Experience leading ship repair/construction/conversion projects.
• SRM Certificate is advantageous.
• Experience chairing VSCC meetings is advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct ship repair, construction and conversion projects.
• Lead daily VSCC meetings on hot-works and incompatible jobs onboard for safety.
• Meet repair/refit schedules by planning and monitoring critical path and costs.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and maintain teamwork.
• Resolve daily conflicts affecting master schedule and operations.
• Coordinate with classification societies, ship owners, engineers, crew and agents.
• Meet commercial/contractual commitments and ensure quality.
• Capture additional works and inform Commercial Dept for pricing.
