Job summary

Golden Harvest Shipping Service (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned maritime compliance professional to monitor regulatory standards, coordinate audits, and support Masters during inspections.

The ideal candidate holds a Master Mariner certificate with extensive seagoing and shore-based experience, and will lead investigations, safety campaigns and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and the ability to direct crews and audits.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proven problem-solving during regulatory inspections.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vessels to ensure compliance with international regulatory standards (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, etc).
• Plan, coordinate and follow-up on internal audits, statutory inspections, and vetting by oil majors.
• Conduct pre-berth and vetting inspections; support Masters and Officers during audits.
• Review and ensure vessel performance, navigation practices, cargo operations and safety procedures meet standards.
• Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on emergency procedures and participate in emergency response planning.
• Support safety campaigns, drills, and crew training.
• Prepare inspection and compliance reports for senior management.
• Liaise with Masters, crew, technical teams, flag/port state authorities, classification societies and oil majors.
• Maintain audit, inspection and risk management documentation.
• May support vessel dry-docking and maintenance coordination
