Job summary

PERFORMANCE SPECIALTY PRODUCTS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a hands-on Specialist to transform raw materials into final products per the production schedule.

The role covers manufacturing from raw materials to final inspection and release to customers, with focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will gain practical experience in operating presses, machining, ovens, and related equipment. The successful candidate will work in a shift-based environment, collaborate across teams,

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Able to perform rotating shift work.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills.
• Preferably Technicians specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive, Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support operations in safety, quality, continuous improvement, personnel, and supply chain initiatives.
• Perform press setup and operation, including tooling installation/removal, material handling, and process documentation.
• Perform machining activities including turning, milling, coring, and machine setup.
• Study work orders, prints, materials, specifications, and machining parameters.
• Troubleshoot and rework machined parts when required.
• Operate ovens and related processes, including cycle verification and documentation.
• Conduct final inspection and release of finished parts.
• Carry out basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining shift-to-shift communication and documentation.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
• Working safely and complying with 5S requirements is a must.

Summary:

Successful candidate is responsible for transforming raw materials into final products per the required production schedule. The successful candidate will acquire hands-on skills and experience and apply them to routinely manufacture Vespel® products. The Specialist will be responsible for the manufacturing process from raw materials through final inspection and release to the ultimate customer.
