Job summary

DuPont in Singapore is seeking a skilled technician to transform raw materials into final products according to the production schedule. The role provides hands-on experience across the manufacturing process from materials to finished goods, and requires adherence to safety, quality, and 5S practices.

You will perform press setup, machining, ovens, inspections, and basic equipment maintenance, while maintaining clear shift-to-shift communication and documentation.

Qualifications

• Professional certificate/diploma required in engineering or related field.
• Able to perform rotating shift work.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills.
• Prefer technicians specializing in engineering fields such as mechanical or metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Support operations in safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Perform press setup and operation, including tooling installation/removal, material handling, and process documentation.
• Machining activities including turning, milling, coring, and machine setup.
• Study work orders, prints, materials, specifications, and machining parameters.
• Troubleshoot and rework machined parts when required.
• Operate ovens and related processes, including cycle verification and documentation.
• Conduct final inspection and release of finished parts.
• Carry out basic maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain shift-to-shift communication and documentation.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
• Work safely and comply with 5S requirements.

Summary:

Successful candidate is responsible for transforming raw materials into final products per the required production schedule. The successful candidate will acquire hands-on skills and experience and apply them to routinely manufacture Vespel® products. The Specialist will be responsible for the manufacturing process from raw materials through final inspection and release to the ultimate customer.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a ProfessionalCertificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool &Die/Welding)or equivalent
