Job summary

Grand Venture Technology Private Limited in Singapore seeks a performance-driven engineer to support machining processes for complex precision parts. You will interpret mechanical drawings, prepare standard parts, and generate process management plans to streamline fabrication.

You will review yields, propose improvements, lead corrective actions, and participate in manufacturing reviews, transitions, new product introductions, and standard work improvements to sustain quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years in precision engineering environment.
• Familiar with machining processes (milling, turning, lathes, grinding, sheet metal).
• Familiar with welding, sheet metal and surface treatment.
• Proficient with Solidwork, MasterCAM or HyperMill.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; eagerness to learn new software.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solving on manufacturing processes.
• Good working attitude; disciplined and systematic.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support machining processes and methods required to manufacture complex precision parts

• To interpret Mechanical Drawings for fabrication work and preparation & selection of standard parts/component

• To generate Process Management Plan (or Process Route Card / Job Traveller)

• To review process yields and rates, and make suggestions for improvement

• To recommend manufacturing cost reductions, improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.

• Able to lead and coordinate activities for corrective actions

• To participate in manufacturing reviews, transitions, new product introduction and manufacturing standard work improvements.
  

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering

• At least 3 years of working experience in precision engineering environment

• Familiar with machining process (milling, turning, Lathes, grinding, Sheetmetal operation) would be added advantage

• Familiar with metal fabrication processes like welding, sheetmetal work, surface treatment etc

• Proficient in Mechanical software (Solidwork, MasterCAM or HyperMill)

• Knowledge in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software applications

• Troubleshoot and problems solving skills on manufacturing process
