Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing technicians on new programmes and ongoing enhancements. You will develop and conduct tests to improve processes, analyse data, and resolve manufacturing and technical issues.

You will establish procedures, create JIS, NC programmes, tool/gauge plans using Siemens NX, and drive productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering or similar.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Establish manufacturing procedures and maintain documentation control.
• Develop JIS, NC programs and Tool/Gauge Plans using Siemens NX.
• Initiate productivity improvements including equipment/fixture selection.
• Resolve issues arising from internal and external customer feedback.
• Conduct feasibility studies for capacity, facility/layout improvements and expansion.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing manufacturing systems and related processes.
• Assess manufacturing technologies and implement advanced manufacturing methods.
• Participate in company-wide productivity and quality programmes.
• Prepare CAPEX justifications for manufacturing equipment and improvement initiatives.
• Coach and guide junior engineers.

About the role

Provide technical support and advice to Manufacturing Technicians on new programmes and ongoing programme enhancements. Develop and conduct tests to enhance manufacturing processes, analyse test data, perform problem-solving and provide technical support to resolve manufacturing and technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Establish manufacturing procedures and maintain proper documentation control.

• Develop new Manufacturing Job Instruction Sheets (JIS), NC programmes and Tool/Gauge Plans using Siemens NX.

• Initiate productivity improvement activities, including equipment and fixture selection, design and deployment.

• Resolve technical issues arising from internal and external customer feedback.

• Conduct feasibility studies relating to manufacturing capacity improvement, facility/layout improvements and expansion.

• Drive continuous improvement activities for existing manufacturing systems and related processes.

• Assess existing manufacturing technologies and processes and develop and implement advanced manufacturing methods.

• Participate actively in company-wide productivity and quality improvement programmes.

• Prepare and support CAPEX justifications for manufacturing equipment and improvement initiatives.

• Coach and guide junior engineers.

About you

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing engineering or a related manufacturing environment.

• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.

• Strong hands-on understanding of precision machining equipment, including CNC 5-axis, lathe and milling.

• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

• Competent in Siemens NX / Unigraphics or other CAD/CAM applications.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
