Job summary
Illumina is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer1 to sustain high-volume consumables production. You will maintain electrical, mechanical, and automation systems, and mentor Technicians to improve uptime and reliability.
Responsibilities include cGMP adherence, safety, and process improvements. The role involves leading maintenance tasks, guiding technicians, and ensuring production targets are met in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/Mechatronics with 0–2 years in manufacturing.
- Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/Mechatronics with 6+ years in manufacturing.
- NTC/NiTEC with 9+ years shift lead experience or high school with 15+ years shift lead experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment with some supervision.
- Lead improvement initiatives and coach team toward continuous improvement (6S).
- Investigate incidents and submit formal reports with supervision.
- Mentor Technicians and support the shift to meet production KPIs.
- Update critical spare parts in SAP to ensure continuous operation.
