Job summary

MAKINO ASIA PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a diligent Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering graduate to join our sustaining engineering team for CNC machinery assembly processes. You will assist process improvements, validation activities, and NPI support while ensuring ISO and safety compliance across production facilities.

The role emphasizes design and maintenance of fixtures, BOMs in SAP, and collaboration with multiple departments to achieve quality, waste reduction and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other 3D design software.
• Essential computer literacy.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide sustaining engineering support to CNC machinery assembly processes.
• Support manufacturing/assembly process improvements.
• Assist failure analysis and cost reduction via value engineering activities.
• Support all process validation activities.
• Design and prepare fixtures/tools for production use.
• Setup and maintain BOM and process routing in SAP.
• Prepare process manuals and check sheets for production use.
• Support engineering activities to improve manufacturing operation KPIs such as quality, waste, efficiency.
• Maintain and ensure systems and procedures are in compliance with ISO, Regulatory and housekeeping requirements.
• Plan and execute activities with other departments to ensure common goals are met.
• Performs design and development engineering assignments related to equipment and systems layouts in plant and production facilities.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and product transfer to China/India.
• Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.
