You will build a high-performing team, define the business direction, and empower leaders to own growth while engaging senior clients across sectors, with a preference for CPG experience.

Job description

We are looking for a Managing Director to lead an insights and consulting business across APAC. Our client already has a stable business in the region and is now looking to build on that with further expansion. Their work is highly consultative and analytical, engaging with clients across a broad range of sectors, including CPG.

There are many dimensions to the role, but the key requirement is for a strategic leader who brings a slightly different approach to growth. You will combine a strong commercial mindset with the ambition to build a business, but you'll do this by creating genuine impact for clients, building trusted relationships and bringing the right thinking to the table rather than through a traditional sales-led approach.

An important part of the role will also be continuing to build a strong, high-performing team and developing leadership capability around you. You'll need to create clarity around the direction of the business while giving people the ownership and opportunity to grow.

What we're looking for:

You are likely to bring significant experience within insights, research, strategy or consulting.

• A strong strategic and consultative mindset, with the ability to engage senior clients around their broader business challenges.


• Commercial instinct and a track record of growing client relationships and businesses, underpinned by real depth of expertise and strong consulting capability.


• Deep experience in people leadership and development.


• The ability to identify where a business should focus, where it can add the most value and how it should evolve.


• Strong experience working with CPG clients (preferred).
