You plan and execute public and digital communication efforts in support of MINDEF/SAF's communication objectives, principally to preserve and strengthen public trust and confidence in national defence, National Service (NS) and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
- Formulate publicity plans for mainstream and social media platforms- Work with media organisations on feature stories- Draft responses to forum letters and media queriesDevelop local and international media engagement strategies- Manage public communications during incidents and unplanned eventsChallenge(s)- Working with multiple stakeholders to understand complex policy and operational issues- Developing effective communication strategies under time pressure
- Education in Communication Studies, Political Science, Social Sciences, or Information and Communication Technology/Digital Media- Strong command of written and spoken English- Proficiency in another language (Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) is advantageous- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Keen interest in Singapore's media, political, defence and security developments- Good understanding of Singapore's media landscape- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail- Meticulous and detail-oriented- Ability to work odd hours and travel overseas at short noticeAppointment will be commensurate with your experience.Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
