Job summary

MINDEF in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Information Security and Project Management professional to lead information, physical security plans and knowledge management for major project milestones. You will develop and implement security policies, manage a team, and coordinate secretariat duties for meetings and events.

Candidates should have an engineering or science background with at least 6 years in security-related roles, strong leadership, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications

• Education in Engineering, Science, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 6 years of working experience in security-related roles, related to project or security management.
• Experience in event planning, execution and monitoring, including managing budgets, schedules and risks.
• Willingness to learn and capacity for continual learning.
• Ability to adapt to new situations and navigate change effectively.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

What the role is:

You are responsible for supporting all information management plans, operational security and supervision matters, as well as knowledge management for project key milestones and documentation.

What you will be working on:

• Plan, coordinate and execute information and physical security management plans
• Develop long-term operational security plans
• Identify operational security shortfalls and develop information protection plans
• Develop and manage the team to implement information policies and security measures
• Establish and maintain an effective security management framework
• Perform secretariat duties to support various meetings and events
• Lead knowledge management efforts for project key milestones and documentation

• Adapting to a constantly changing landscape and schedule, and demonstrating resilience in managing ad-hoc and urgent situations calmly
• Managing team and individual performance, which can be complicated by differing skill sets and the challenges of a hierarchical structure
• Protecting sensitive data while sharing information efficiently and securely, with a duty to safeguard national interest and sensitive information

What we are looking for:

• Education in Engineering, Science, or a related field is preferred
• At least 6 years of working experience in the security-related industry, with relation to project or security management
• Experience in event planning, execution and monitoring, including managing budgets, schedules and risks
• Willingness to learn and capacity for continual learning
• Ability to adapt to new situations and navigate change effectively
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Ability to lead and develop teams across varying skill sets
