Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a capable professional to join the Memorial Facilities Planning Division and contribute to operations planning for government after-death facilities.

You will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including drafting requirements and tender documents, bid evaluation and award, while driving sustainability and digitisation initiatives to improve service delivery and efficiency.

[What the role is]

You will be part of the Memorial Facilities Planning Division, which oversees the planning of after-death facilities and services in Singapore. You will contribute to operations planning efforts to ensure that the Government after-death facilities are efficiently managed and operated. The team undertakes end-to-end procurement administration including conceptualisation and market research, systems development, sustainability functions as well as continuous improvement of services.

[What you will be working on]

You will be responsible for the following:

• Formulate policies, operational strategies and plans to enhance after-death facilities and services.
• Oversee projects and initiatives to improve service delivery and operational readiness, including conceptualising new ideas, developing project scopes, conducting market research, and engaging the industry to understand the supplier landscape.
• Plan and manage end-to-end procurement activities, including the drafting of requirements and tender documents, calling, evaluation and award of tenders and quotations, while ensuring compliance with Government Procurement guidelines.
• Lead and coordinate sustainability and resource management initiatives to achieve GreenGov.SG targets.
• Oversee systems development and digitalising services to improve service delivery and achieve greater operational efficiency.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Experience in planning, procurement or project management is preferred.
• Familiarity with systems development, government procurement guidelines and processes would be an advantage.
