Job summary

• Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering field.
• Minimum qualifications of NTC2 or Diploma in Engineering

• Knowledge in plumbing, electrical maintenance will be an advantage
• Class 3 driving license

Responsibilities

• Repair, troubleshoot and maintain equipment as per schedule and procedures.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and calibrate/adjust equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures, including rapid response within required timeframes.
• Maintain housekeeping standards during decommissioning, storage, and commissioning of equipment.
• Provide maintenance support to outlets, B2B customers and HQ, and assist Technician Supervisor with planning and reporting.

Job description

Position Description

The Project Technician reports to the Assistant Project & Leasing Manager. He is responsible for supporting the planning of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities that ensure equipment and systems are fully functional and in optimal operating condition. He/she ensures that the servicing and maintenance of all outlets are done according to schedule and reports all movements and faults to his superior. He/she is also expected to work on-site on a rotating or dayshift, and/or may be employed on-call basis.

Specifically, the scope of work includes but is not limited to the following:

• Repair, troubleshoot and maintenance of all equipment by:

  • Conduct testing of equipment and systems
  • Perform repair works on equipment and systems
  • Document testing, maintenance and repair works in accordance with organizational procedures
  • Monitor equipment and system condition
  • Perform housekeeping of tools after maintenance and repairs

• Carry out preventive maintenance work as per schedule to minimize operational downtime by:

  • Carry out functional and performance tests as required
  • Check operation of equipment, components and systems
  • Calibrate and adjust equipment, components and systems
  • Execute replacement of faulty equipment, and secure them in accordance with specifications and organisations procedures

• Respond to all emergencies like breakdowns and malfunctions of machines by:

  • Follow emergency response plans and relevant safety procedures
  • Respond to emergencies within 2 hours upon urgent calls as an emergency response team member

• Practice good housekeeping standards by:

  • Carry out thorough cleaning of equipment during decommissioning, shrink wrap equipment before storing to warehouse
  • Carry out thorough cleaning of equipment before commissioning for redeployment of equipment
• Provide maintenance service to outlets (retail), B2B customers and HQ
• Provide support for festive projects
• Provide assistance to Technician Supervisor to maintain, update and tally store equipment and maintain good housekeeping
• Report and update daily schedule to Technician Supervisor
• Manage move of equipment as required by the Management
• To carry out any assignment as and when required by the Management
• Required 24/7 standby & work on a rotating or dayshift

Position Requirements

Performance Objectives

The Project Technician is responsible to ensure that all agreed expectations are established and achieved. He/she is to provide support to the operations department to ensure all outlets are properly maintained with a 0% breakdown rate for equipment.
