Job summary

Schneider Electric Singapore PTE LTD is offering an Internship in Maintenance Engineering at our Tuas site. You will join a team focused on digitalizing maintenance processes, data capture, and continuous improvement in a real production environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic, Electrical & Electronic, or Computer Engineering and show interest in industrial automation, dashboards, and data analysis.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering/IT discipline.
  • Customer Focus: a customer-oriented mindset is key. You'll thrive in this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is expected. Familiarity with data visualization and dashboard development is a plus.
  • Knowledge or interest in industrial automation, PLCs, robotics, AI applications, Industry 4.0 technologies is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development and enhancement of maintenance digitalization solutions using Node-RED, SQL databases, and Visual Studio.
  • Support integration of machine data into dashboards and monitoring systems.
  • Assist in data collection, validation, and analysis to improve maintenance performance and equipment reliability.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and optimization of digital maintenance tools and workflows.

What will you do:
Support Maintenance Digitalization & Automation Projects
  • Assistin the development and enhancement of maintenance digitalization solutions using Node-RED, SQL databases, and Visual Studio.
  • Support the integration of machine and equipment data into dashboards and monitoring systems.
  • Assistin data collection, validation, and analysis to improve maintenance performance and equipment reliability.
  • Participate in troubleshooting andoptimization ofdigital maintenance tools and workflows.
Documentation
  • Assistin updatingmaintenancework instructions, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Support the creation and revision of electrical, control, and system documentation.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of maintenance activities, machine configurations, and project progress.
Continuousimprovementassistance
  • Assist in continuous improvement projectsto simplify/automate process andimprove efficiency.
  • Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and KPIs for maintenance performance monitoring.
  • Participate in automation and Industry 4.0 projects to simplify processes and eliminate manual tasks.
What qualifications will make you successful:
  • Currently pursuing abachelor’s degreein Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering/IT discipline.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-oriented mindset is key. If you enjoy helping others and finding solutions that make a difference,you'llthrive in this role.
  • Skill Set:Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is expected. Basic knowledge or hands-on experience in PLC programming, Node-RED, Visual Studio, SQL databases, and industrial automation systems will be highlyadvantageous. Familiarity with data visualization, dashboard development, system integration, and troubleshooting of automation solutions is a plus.
  • KnowledgeAdvantage: While not mandatory,Basic knowledge or strong interest in industrial automation, PLCs, robotics, AI applications, programming, or Industry 4.0 technologies will be beneficial.
