GE Vernova in Singapore is seeking an CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, including VTLs, to manufacture parts per engineering drawings and quality specs.
The role requires reading engineering drawings, ensuring tight tolerances, and collaborating with engineering and production teams. You will perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and uphold EHS guidelines while contributing to on-time delivery and continuous improvement.
Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Perform inspections and measurements of machined parts using appropriate measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
Operate Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) and/or other CNC machining equipment, where required.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC machine operations, tooling, and machining programs.
Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to support efficient manufacturing operations.
Adhere to all applicable Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and employee EHS responsibilities.
Ensure product quality standards are met while maintaining equipment care, production targets, housekeeping, and schedules.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
Secondary education or equivalent qualification.
Experience in CNC machining, manufacturing, precision engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
