Job summary

Howco Group in Singapore is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program and operate Fanuc CNC lathes and a deep hole boring machine. You will set up tooling, fixtures, and offsets to achieve tight tolerances and write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code/M-code programs.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, ability to work independently and in shifts, and adherence to ISO standards and safety protocols. You will handle precision measurement and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Technical Trade Certificate or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of working experiences in relevant industry.
• Able to work independently and perform shift work.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Fanuc CNC lathes and deep hole boring machine.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and offsets to meet tolerances.
• Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code/M-code programs.
• Optimize cutting parameters for efficiency and tool life.
• Perform first-off inspections and in-process checks.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to verify dimensions.
• Maintain job sheets and production logs.
• Adhere to ISO standards and safety protocols.
• Machining exotic alloys like Inconel/Monel and stainless steels.
• Producing intricate parts with tight tolerances.
• Using Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes for complex profiles and threading.
• Reducing scrap rates and optimizing cycle times while maintaining quality.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC machines using Fanuc controls for lathes and Deep Hole Boring Machine.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and work offsets to achieve required tolerances.
• Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code/M-code programs.
• Optimize cutting parameters for efficiency and tool life.
• Perform first-off inspections and in-process checks.
• Use precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, Height Gauge) to verify dimensions.
• Maintain job sheets, inspection records, and production logs.
• Adhere to ISO standards and safety protocols.
• Machining exotic alloys like Inconel, Monel, and stainless steels.
• Producing intricate parts with tight tolerances.
• Using Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes for complex profiles and threading.
• Reducing scrap rates and optimizing cycle times while maintaining quality.
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
• All other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
