Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking experienced CNC Milling Machinists and CNC Turning Machinists to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling or CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components that meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines or CNC turning (lathe) machines.

• CNC programing and editing with Mastercam is preferred.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.

• Perform machine setup, tooling selection, workpiece alignment, tool offsets, and program adjustments.

• Monitor machining operations and make necessary offset corrections to ensure dimensional accuracy.

• Conduct first article inspection and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, and bore gauges.

• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimise downtime and improve productivity.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.

• Work closely with supervisors, programmers, production planners, and quality personnel to meet production schedules.

• Comply with all workplace safety, quality, and company procedures.
