Compact Precision Industries Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks experienced CNC Milling Machinists and CNC Turning Machinists to program, set up, operate, and maintain precision machines to meet engineering drawings and quality standards.
The role requires 3+ years in precision machining, ability to read drawings with GD&T, and familiarity with inspection tools; Mastercam experience is a plus, and Fanuc controls are advantageous.
We are seeking experienced CNC Milling Machinists and CNC Turning Machinists to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling or CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components that meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
Set up and operate CNC milling machines or CNC turning (lathe) machines.
CNC programing and editing with Mastercam is preferred.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
Perform machine setup, tooling selection, workpiece alignment, tool offsets, and program adjustments.
Monitor machining operations and make necessary offset corrections to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Conduct first article inspection and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, and bore gauges.
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimise downtime and improve productivity.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
Work closely with supervisors, programmers, production planners, and quality personnel to meet production schedules.
Comply with all workplace safety, quality, and company procedures.
Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC milling machines or CNC turning machines in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Able to independently perform machine setup and production machining.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
Familiar with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection procedures.
Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and machining processes.
Experience with Fanuc CNC controls is an advantage.
Willing to work overtime when required.
NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Precision Engineering, or a related machining discipline.
Responsible, reliable, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
CNC program editing and troubleshooting skills are preferred.
