Job summary

NICAE (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced machinist to set up, program, and operate advanced machine tools to produce high-precision components. You will collaborate with the engineering team to meet strict quality and production schedules.

You will ensure parts strictly adhere to exact specifications and blueprints, interpreting drawings and GD&T. The role requires hands-on experience with manual machines and CNC equipment, plus meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Reading engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Interpreting CAD/engineering blueprints.
• Ability to interpret tolerances and dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Install, align, and secure cutting tools, fixtures, workpieces on CNC or manual machines.
• Set up and edit machine programs (G-code/M-code) to control tool paths, feeds, speeds.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs to verify dimensions against tolerances.

• Ensure all manufactured parts strictly adhere to exact technical specifications and engineering blueprints.

Key Responsibilities

• Can be able toRead and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and engineering blueprints to determine project dimensions and tolerances.
• Able to Install, align, work on and secure cutting tools, fixtures, workpieces, and materials on CNC or manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Able toSet up and edit machine programs (G-code/M-code) to control tool paths, feed rates, and cutting speeds.
• Able to use high-precision measuring instruments—such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs to verify part dimensions against tolerances.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience on manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and a solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Core Skills: mechanical troubleshooting abilities, and high attention to detail.
