Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives and IT systems, from planning to operation. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

Work with users and technical teams to refine requirements, run Agile ceremonies, and oversee governance, testing and post-implementation review to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Engineering, or related subject area with at least five (5) years of relevant experience in project/programme management, IT delivery, product delivery or equivalent roles, including end-to-end experience managing digital initiatives, products and/or IT systems across development, implementation and operations.
  • Proven experience in project/product delivery, IT business analysis, solution assessment, testing, vendor and contract management, financial management and operational support.

Job description

End-to-End Delivery and Stakeholder Management
  • Manage assigned digital initiatives, products and IT systems across their lifecycle, including new development, implementation, enhancements and operational/BAU support, as applicable.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated delivery plan covering scope, schedule, cost, resources, dependencies, milestones, decisions and delivery outcomes, and drive issues to timely closure.
  • Manage project performance across scope, time and cost, with clear reporting, escalation and corrective actions where delivery is at risk.
  • Manage stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains, setting clear expectations on scope, quality, delivery outcomes and responsibilities, and provide timely progress reporting and escalation.

Problem Understanding, Solution Shaping and Requirements
  • Advise on the viability, feasibility and impact of policy or business changes on assigned projects, products and IT systems.
  • Work with users and relevant stakeholders to understand and clarify business and information needs and, where required, translate these into requirements and user stories to support solutioning and delivery.
  • Work with users, technical teams and relevant stakeholders to understand the problem and assess feasible solution options, including existing organisational or shared capabilities, commercial solutions and new development where appropriate. Provide recommendations based on business fit, feasibility, cost, risk, security, supportability and implementation considerations.
  • Where required, support business analysis and product activities such as problem and requirements clarification, user journey analysis, solution option assessment and post-release outcome review to maintain end-to-end delivery continuity.
Quality, Enhancements and Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct and support thorough system, user and security testing throughout the product and system lifecycle, and work with product, engineering teams and/or outsourced vendors to resolve issues and ensure defects are rectified against agreed requirements and timelines.
  • Manage and coordinate enhancements and changes to assigned products and IT systems, including impact assessment, prioritisation support, delivery planning, testing, implementation and post-implementation review.
  • Define key success factors, identify relevant metrics and establish appropriate reporting or dashboards to track performance and outcomes.
  • Analyse post-release results, user feedback and operational insights to identify opportunities for improvement and continuous service enhancement.
Risk, Governance, Commercial and Financial Management
  • Identify, assess and manage business, cybersecurity, data, technology, resilience and operational risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation, ownership, governance, escalation and follow-through.
  • Manage delivery governance and oversight, including decision and action tracking, audit and compliance requirements, procurement and contract matters, vendor performance and dependencies, and timely escalation of material issues.
  • Manage the financial dimension of assigned projects, digital products and IT systems, including expenditure tracking, commitments, forecasts and cost risks, to ensure delivery within approved budget.
  • Manage and coordinate relevant vendor and contract matters, including deliverables, performance, service obligations, commercial issues, dependencies and escalation, working with Procurement and other relevant stakeholders where required.
  • Manage and execute audits of assigned digital products and IT systems in a timely manner.
Operations, Incidents and Change Management
  • Provide operational oversight for assigned digital products and IT systems, including service performance and availability, incident and problem management, vendor support, cybersecurity and operational risks, stakeholder communications, enhancements and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate incident and problem management for assigned products and IT systems, including incident assessment, stakeholder communications, escalation, recovery coordination, vendor and technical follow-up, root-cause analysis and post-incident improvement actions.
  • Plan and execute change management for new implementations and material enhancements, including stakeholder and user impact assessment, communications, training and briefings, readiness checks, adoption support, implementation, hypercare and transition to operations/BAU. Monitor adoption and feedback, and follow through on outstanding issues and improvement actions.
  • Support implementation readiness and transition to operations/BAU, ensuring support arrangements, operational ownership, documentation, knowledge transfer and outstanding risks/issues are addressed.
Portfolio and Division/Group Support
a) Budget Management and Coordination

Support the Programme Manager in budget planning, forecasting, expenditure monitoring and reporting for the Division and Group. Coordinate with Finance, Budget Officers and stakeholders to ensure timely submissions and follow up on budget-related issues, risks and funding requirements.

b) Portfolio Coordination

Support the Programme Manager in portfolio planning, coordination and governance activities, including the tracking of key initiatives, risks, dependencies and management reporting.

Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Engineering, or related subject area with at least five (5) years of relevant experience in project/programme management, IT delivery, product delivery or equivalent roles, including demonstrated end-to-end experience managing digital initiatives, products and/or IT systems across development, implementation and operations.
  • Prior working experience in project/product delivery, IT business analysis, solution assessment, testing, vendor and contract management, financial management and operational support. Experience managing production IT systems, incidents and service changes is preferred.
  • The Project Manager should preferably be a Certified Scrum Product Owner or Certified Scrum Master or equivalent, Business Analysis Professional certification is a plus.
  • Project Management related certifications such as CIPTM, COMIT or PMP.
  • The Project Manager should have excellent written and verbal communication skills to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • Project Manager with strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively and independently under pressure and prioritize effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Preferably have end-to-end experience across new delivery, implementation, enhancements and operations, with the ability to work across business, technical, vendor and operational stakeholders.
