Job description

Experience: 10+ Years
Role: Project Manager

Responsibilities:
1. Project Initiation & Planning

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and business cases.

Secure project approvals, funding, and stakeholder endorsements.

Conduct detailed project assessments to identify scope, risks, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints.

Ensure project governance frameworks are established and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

Define project objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.

Establish stakeholder engagement and communication plans.

Identify and secure required project resources across business and technology functions.

2. Project Execution

Lead the delivery of applications, network and workplace technology migration initiatives.

Coordinate activities across technology teams.

Drive project execution to meet business objectives, contractual obligations, and agreed milestones.

Ensure timely and accurate communication with project stakeholders at all levels.

Manage project changes, escalations, and cross-functional dependencies.

Facilitate issue resolution and decision-making processes.

Ensure project deliverables meet quality, compliance, and security requirements.

3. Project Control, Governance & Reporting

Monitor and track project progress against approved plans, timelines, budgets, and milestones.

Maintain effective risk, issue, assumption, and dependency management processes.

Prepare and present project status reports and management updates to senior stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with project governance standards, audit requirements, and organizational policies.

Manage project documentation and maintain appropriate project records.

Ensure all project deliverables, approvals, and sign-offs are completed and maintained in an auditable manner.

Escalate critical risks, issues, and delays appropriately.

4. Financial Management & Cost Governance

Support project budgeting, forecasting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting activities.

Assist in developing business cases and investment proposals for technology initiatives.

Monitor project spend against approved budgets and identify cost variances.

Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Technology, and Business stakeholders to ensure appropriate financial governance.

Support technology cost allocation, consumption tracking, and budget planning activities.

Participate in benefits realization and post-implementation reviews.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent) is advantageous.

ITIL or technology service management certification is an added advantage.

Project Management
  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience.
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end technology projects within complex environments.
  • Strong project governance, planning, budgeting, tracking, and reporting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale migration, transformation, infrastructure, or technology deployment projects.
  • Strong expertise in risk, issue, dependency, and change management.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

  • Network technologies and infrastructure.
  • Workplace and End-User Computing (EUC) technologies.
  • Cloud technologies.
  • Technology service delivery and operational support models.
Experience in one or more of the following is advantageous:
  • Network migrations.
  • Workplace technology refresh programs.
  • Infrastructure transformation projects.
  • Cloud transformation initiatives.
Banking Domain Knowledge
  • Good understanding of banking technology environments and operational processes.
  • Familiarity with technology governance and control frameworks within financial institutions.
  • Experience working with business, operations, infrastructure, technology, and support functions within banking organizations.
  • Understanding of regulatory, audit, compliance, and risk management requirements.
Financial & Technology Cost Management
  • Understanding of business transaction volumes and operational drivers.
  • Understanding of technology consumption and volume drivers across business units, including:
  • Application usage

    Workplace devices

    Software licenses

    Infrastructure services

  • Knowledge of technology cost allocation, chargeback and cost recovery models.
  • Understanding of technology service costing methodologies.
  • Good understanding of CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and OPEX (Operating Expenditure) concepts and their application within technology projects.
  • Ability to differentiate between capital investments and recurring operational expenses.
  • Understanding of financial planning concepts including budgeting, forecasting, cost estimation, variance analysis, and expenditure tracking.
  • Experience supporting technology budget preparation, cost governance, and financial planning and analysis processes.
