Job summary

TSTAR Recruit Pte Ltd is seeking a M&E Quantity Surveyor to administer contracts, manage progress claims, and support cost control on construction projects in Singapore. The role requires a degree in QS/CM/M&E and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Salary up to SGD 6,000 plus variable bonus, working at Toa Payoh.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of estimating, cost control, procurement, contract administration, and variation management.
• Familiarity with building regulations and standard contract forms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer contracts and manage project progress claims per contractual requirements.
• Assist reporting manager with contractual matters including variation claims and contract administration.
• Support preparation of quotations, cost estimates, tender evaluations and cost comparisons.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders on contract-related issues and project commercial matters.
• Assess, verify and prepare subcontractor progress claims and payment recommendations.
• Prepare and manage final accounts and ensure timely settlement and close-out.
• Monitor project costs, identify variations, and support cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and comply with obligations and procedures.
• Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties as assigned.

• Assist the reporting manager in handling contractual matters, including variation claims and contract administration.
• Support the preparation of quotations, cost estimates, tender evaluations, and cost comparison analyses.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on contract-related matters and project commercial issues.
• Assess, verify, and prepare subcontractor progress claims and payment recommendations.
• Prepare and manage final accounts, ensuring timely settlement and project close-out.
• Monitor project costs, identify potential cost variations, and support effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties as assigned by the reporting manager.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction estimating, cost control, procurement, contract administration, and variation management.
• Familiarity with building regulations and standard forms of construction contracts.
• Good analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to work independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Additional Information

• Salary:Up to SGD 6,000 +VB (1-2Months)
• Working Location:Toa Payoh
• Working Hours:5Days Work, (Mon-Thu: 8.30am-6.00pm, Fri: 8.30am-5.30pm)
