Job summary

Talent First is seeking an experienced Engineering Executive to oversee M&E systems in a commercial property, managing daily operations, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role requires coordinating maintenance activities, supervising technicians, and ensuring timely completion of works.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years in M&E facilities management, and strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E facilities management experience.
• Experience in commercial properties (office, retail, mixed-use).
• Knowledge of building services, preventive maintenance, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily M&E operations including ACMV, electrical, fire protection, BMS and plumbing.
• Supervise technicians and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Manage contractors and service providers to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct building inspections and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Plan upgrading works and capital expenditure projects.
• Review tenants' renovation proposals and coordinate technical requirements.
• Monitor utility consumption and prepare maintenance reports.

• Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Executive / Senior Engineering Executive to oversee the maintenance and daily operations of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems within a commercial property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily M&E operations, including ACMV, electrical, fire protection, BMS and plumbing systems.
• Supervise technicians and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage contractors and service providers to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair works.
• Conduct building inspections and ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance contracts, quotations, tender exercises and procurement activities.
• Plan and oversee M&E upgrading works and capital expenditure projects.
• Review tenants' renovation proposals and coordinate technical requirements.
• Address maintenance issues and liaise with tenants and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor utility consumption, prepare maintenance reports and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, servicing and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E facilities management experience.
• Experience managing M&E operations in commercial properties, such as office buildings, retail developments or mixed-use commercial premises.
• Good knowledge of building services, preventive maintenance and statutory compliance.
• Experience in contractor supervision, maintenance contracts and project coordination.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
