Job summary

Allied Search Pte Ltd is seeking an Engineering Executive (Commercial Building) to lead a team of M&E technicians and oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of ACMV, electrical, fire protection, BMS, and plumbing systems. You will plan preventive maintenance, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role involves contract management, project support, tenant coordination, and energy usage analysis, with a focus on timely, high-quality service

Qualifications

• Possess a Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of M&E technicians, providing technical guidance on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective works, and daily operational issues.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all Mechanical & Electrical systems, including ACMV, electrical systems, fire protection, Building Management System (BMS), and plumbing & sanitary systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of building services to ensure systems are safe, fully operational, and well maintained, and recommend remedial or replacement works where necessary.
• Plan, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programmes in accordance with contract requirements, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
• Supervise and evaluate contractors and service providers to ensure works are completed within scope, on schedule, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Review and certify service reports, maintenance records, and contractor claims prior to payment processing.
• Manage maintenance contracts, including preparation of specifications, tender documentation, evaluation of quotations, and recommendations for award or renewal.
• Coordinate ad-hoc repair and improvement works, including scoping, obtaining approvals, issuing work orders, and overseeing execution and completion.
• Support CAPEX projects, including budgeting, tendering, contractor management, and project delivery.
• Review tenant fit-out and renovation submissions to ensure compliance with building standards and statutory requirements.
• Respond promptly to tenant feedback and service requests, ensuring timely resolution with minimal disruption.
• Monitor utility consumption and analyse usage trends, recommending energy and water efficiency improvements.
• Ensure timely renewal of statutory licences, certifications, and compliance submissions related to M&E systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, contracts, and asset performance.
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
