Job summary

YJ INTERNATIONAL PTE LTD is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of landed housing or bungalow construction experience to oversee M&E works onsite and offsite. You will monitor design progress, coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, and manage drawing submissions.

The role involves working with BIM modeller/drafter to prepare shop drawings, conveying technical information effectively, and ensuring timely approvals and high-quality M&E standards.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Engineer/Electrical Engineer experience in landed housing or bungalow construction.
• Candidate shall possess willingness to learn, positive and open-minded mindset.
• Candidate shall be outcome oriented and take ownership of the duties assigned.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all onsite and offsite M&E constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Monitor consultant's design progress as per submission/ detail design schedule agreed.
• Liaise with Clients, Consultants and Subcontractors to ensure smooth progress of coordination and ensure information is communicated between disciplines.
• Review the M&E work progress on daily basis.
• Manage the project's drawing schedule to ensure timely issuance of drawings for construction.
• Work with BIM modeller/drafter on shop drawings preparation and convey technical information via sketches; study and understand technical drawings independently.
• Prepare and submit for approval construct: i) material submission, ii) material specification submission, iii) method statement and iv) specialist trade sub-con shop drawings.
• Ensure quality M&E construction standards, monitor materials submission and approval status.

Job Responsibilities:

• 1. To oversee all onsite and offsite M&E constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• 2. Monitor consultant's design progress as per submission/ detail design schedule agreed.
• 3. Liaise with Clients, Consultants and Subcontractors to ensure the smooth progress of the coordination. Ensure the information between different disciplines are communicated and discussed among the team.
• 4. To review the M&E work progress on daily basis
• 5. Manage the project's drawing schedule, to ensure timely issuance of drawings for construction.
• 6. Work with BIM modeller/drafter on shop drawings preparation, to capture all detail dimensions and settings. Must be able to convey technical information to BIM modeller/drafter via sketches. Must be able to study and understand technical drawings independently without the drafter's assistance. Must be able to identify the critical technical information/sections that need to be generated for construction usage and technical resolution.
• 7. Work with the construction team and sub-cons to prepare and submit for approval the construct i) material submission, ii) material specification submission, iii) method statement and iv) specialist trade sub-con shop drawings.
• 8. Ensure quality M&E construction standards, monitor materials submission and approval status.
