Job summary

Royal Interiors in Singapore is seeking a Luxury Furniture & Interior Design Consultant to join our showroom team. If you have an eye for interiors, you enjoy helping clients create beautiful spaces, and you love building relationships with clients, we would love to hear from you.

You do not need a formal Interior Design qualification. We value practical experience, design sensibility, a positive attitude and the ability to turn a client’s vision into reality.

Qualifications

• Experience in interior design, space planning, furniture sales or related customer-facing role.
• A strong eye for design, proportion, color and aesthetics.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients.
• A consultative sales approach to understand client needs and propose solutions.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-through.
• A proactive, positive and self-motivated attitude.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a personable, design-driven Luxury Furniture & Interior Design Consultant to join our showroom team. If you have an eye for interiors, enjoy helping people create beautiful spaces, and love building relationships with clients, we would love to hear from you.

You do not need a formal qualification in Interior Design. We value practical experience, design sensibility, a positive attitude and the ability to turn a client’s vision into reality.

What You’ll Do

Inspire clients through design

• Welcome clients into our showroom and deliver a personalised, premium shopping experience.

• Understand their lifestyles, preferences and requirements, recommending furniture that complements their homes and spaces.

• Advise on furniture selection, space planning, layouts, colours, materials, finishes and interior styling.

• Prepare furniture proposals, quotations, mood boards and layout recommendations.

Build relationships and grow sales

• Develop trusted relationships with homeowners, interior designers, architects and corporate clients.

• Guide clients through the entire sales journey, from their first showroom visit to order confirmation and after-sales support.

• Follow up on enquiries and identify opportunities to turn interest into successful sales.

• Work towards individual sales targets while contributing to the success of the showroom team.

Become an expert in luxury design

• Build knowledge of our exclusive European furniture collections, materials, craftsmanship and design heritage.

• Participate in product training, supplier presentations and sales development sessions.

• Keep the showroom beautifully presented and aligned with our luxury brand standards.

• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in interior design, space planning, furniture sales, home furnishing or a related customer-facing role.

• A strong eye for design, proportion, colour and aesthetics.

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with clients.

• A consultative approach to sales, with the ability to understand client needs and recommend suitable solutions.

• Strong organisation, attention to detail and follow-through.

• A proactive, positive and self-motivated attitude.

• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating schedule.

A formal Interior Design qualification is not required. We welcome candidates with relevant practical experience and a genuine passion for interiors.

Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar design software is an advantage, as is experience in luxury furniture, premium retail or working with high-end residential clients.
