LTA Land Transport Authority in Singapore is seeking a Deputy/Assistant Manager, Bus Service Development to oversee licensing and regulatory functions for bus services. You evaluate Bus Service Licence applications, review bus-stop use, and monitor operations to ensure compliance with licensing conditions.

You will also contribute to rule and policy development, streamline processes, and engage with government agencies, operators and stakeholders to improve bus services and public transport

Qualifikationen

• Preferably at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Organised and able to work with minimal supervision, with the ability to manage tasks and projects according to schedule
• Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills, and able to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess regulatory, licensing and operational issues and formulate sound recommendations
• Strong communication skills with an excellent command of the English language, and able to prepare and deliver clear written, verbal and visual proposals to senior management, including presentations, papers and communication materials
• Resourceful, self-motivated and confident, with the ability to thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment
• A good team player who is able to work collaboratively across teams and agencies
• Candidates without relevant experience but who demonstrate strong potential and aptitude for the role are welcome to apply.

• Work closely with other government agencies, public and private bus operators, private organisations and community stakeholders on bus and transport-related matters, including migrant workers transport.
• Attend to public feedback on bus service and regulatory matters.
• Contribute to the development of a robust and responsive bus regulatory framework and support improving bus services.

What you will be working on

You will be part of the team responsible for the licensing and regulation of bus services. Beyond licensing work, you will be involved in reviewing and developing rules, regulations, guidelines and policies to ensure that the regulatory framework for bus services remains effective and relevant. You will also review operational guidelines and procedures to streamline work processes and improve operational effectiveness. The role involves working closely with other government agencies, public and private bus operators, private organisations and community stakeholders on bus and transport-related matters, including issues relating to the transport of migrant workers. You will also attend to public feedback on bus service and regulatory matters. Through these responsibilities, you will contribute to the development of a robust and responsive bus regulatory framework and support efforts to improve bus services and make public transport a choice mode.
