Job summary

GovTech is seeking an Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager, Bus Operations Management (Routes) to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe bus route movements and implement priority measures. You will review bus route corridors and assess traffic scheme enhancements for bus priority and operations.

You will conduct operational review of private bus routes, handle feedback from commuters and operators, and participate in bus trials to confirm safety and capacity.

Qualifications

• Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Strong interest in driving business change using technology and data
• Preferably knowledge in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
• Experience with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python) will be an advantage

• Review requirements for bus trials to ensure capacity provision on routes is safe for operations.
• Conduct operational review and analysis of private bus routes movement such as Little-India Bus Services.
• Attend to feedback/ complaints/ suggestions from commuters, bus operators, and members of the public on bus routes.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Job description

Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager, Bus Operations Management (Routes)

To coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure public bus route movements are safe with provision of feasible bus priortiy measures. Provide inputs on planned roadwork and road diversion consultations along bus plying routes, and work with relevant internal/ external stakeholders to ensure that public bus movements remain safe and not adversely affected. Review existing bus route corridors and assess the feasibility of traffic scheme enhancements to enhance bus priority and bus operational movements. Review the requirement for bus trials to ensure that new, amended or increased capacity provision bus routes are safe for bus operations. Conduct operational review and analysis of private bus routes movement such as Little-India Bus Services. Attend to feedback/ complaints/ suggestions from commuters, bus operators, and members of public on matters pertaining to bus route movements. Perform any other duties assisgned by the Reporting Officer.
