Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Singapore seeks a Solutions Design Engineer to support warehousing and transport design for customers, reporting to the Senior Manager for Solutions Design. You will collaborate with sales, IS, regional and operations teams to develop costed, innovative warehousing solutions.

The role requires 2–4 years in logistics or related field, strong data analysis and Excel skills, knowledge of WMS/OMS/TMS, and ability to manage projects and workshops with customers.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain and/or manufacturing with warehousing/transportation knowledge.
• Data Analysis, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Visio or Equivalent.
• Financial Modeling, negotiation with customers and suppliers.
• Process Mapping, Labor Sizing, Handling Equipment.
• Troubleshooting, Project Management.
• Knowledge of WMS, OMS, TMS, etc.
• Drawing and Simulation Tools: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Class,Flexsim,ProModel or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support development of new customers with RFQ, site visit and presentation.
• Analyze customer requirements and support Q&A sessions.
• Design and propose warehousing solutions based on customer needs.
• Assess resources, MHE, investments, EDI, automation and innovation opportunities.
• Support IS team to define best IT solution for the project.
• Provide costs analysis and rates.
• Build RFP technical answer document to present the solution.
• Project Management and cross-functional workshops.
• Coordinate with purchasing for supplier selections and site renovation/installation.
• Follow-up IT developments and WMS setup/configuration with IS team PM.
• Organize and report advancement with internal and external customers.
