Job summary

Legend Global Logistics Pte. Ltd. seeks an Operations and Customer Service professional to coordinate shipments, manage documentation, and liaise with customers and partners to ensure efficient service delivery.

You will handle communication with shipping lines, depots, and vendors, maintain data in FileMaker or similar systems, and support billing and compliance tasks while upholding service standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics operations, shipping, or freight forwarding.
• Experience in ISO Tank operations or container logistics would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational communications and ensure operational objectives are met effectively.
• Support the smooth running of daily operations including job creation in the system, tank allocation, and shipment coordination.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, depots, surveyors, and vendors to ensure timely shipment execution.
• Monitor vessel schedules, book shipments according to approved sailing schedules, and ensure tank certification compliance.
• Arrange container release orders and coordinate cleanliness inspection certificates prior to loading.
• Maintain close communication with customers to update shipment status and readiness.
• Identify operational issues that may impact service delivery and implement appropriate solutions.
• Work closely with local and overseas offices, agents, customers, and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
• Support operational preparations requested by the commercial team.
• Manage operational documentation including shipping instructions, bills of lading, and shipment records.
• Maintain accurate data entry and updates in the operational system (e.g., FileMaker).
• Issue arrival notices, container return notices, and related operational communications.
• Prepare and issue invoices for freight charges, local charges, and pre-detention where applicable.
• Monitor container return status and follow up after free detention periods.
• Ensure discrepancies in invoicing are resolved promptly.
• Address customer queries and complaints promptly and elevate when necessary.
• Ensure operational service standards and customer expectations are consistently met.
