Job summary

DCR AIRFREIGHT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a detail‑oriented customs clearance specialist to manage import/export clearance in compliance with regulations.

You will classify goods by HS codes, prepare essential documentation, and liaise with customs authorities to ensure timely clearance. The role requires accuracy, ability to handle pressure, and willingness to work overtime. Training is provided for those without experience, and normal duties involve close collaboration with logistics

Qualifications

• 5.5 working day, alternate Saturday
• Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office
• Possess good work ethics and positive working attitude
• Able to handle pressure & adapt in a fast-pace environment
• Demonstrate an eye for details and ability to prioritize urgent tasks
• Expect overtime on a regular basis
• Individual without experience may apply as training will be provided as our cost

• Classifies goods accurately using HS codes and calculates applicable duties and taxes.
• Prepares and verifies all required shipping and customs documentation.
• Liaises with customs authorities to ensure timely clearance of goods.
• Submits permit applications for imports and exports through systems.
• Coordinates with government agencies to obtain necessary licenses or approvals.
• Ensures all shipments meet local and international trade compliance requirements.
• Works closely with internal departments to support logistics operations.
• Communicates with clients, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to provide shipment updates and resolve issues.
• Maintains accurate records and supports audits or inspections by customs or trade authorities.
• Keeps up-to-date with customs laws, free trade agreements, and regulatory changes.
